With recent funding provided by the IGA, The Wonderbolt Circus put off the Nunatsiavut Youth Circus Project. The project uses workshops for young people to reinforce the pleasures and rewards of simple, non-competitive yet highly creative play.

The program promotes creative self-expression, teamwork, and physical activity. Using a physical theatre approach, this arts-inspired program addresses goals such as: co-operative group skills, critical reflection and interpretation of ideas through performance, as well as ethical conduct in game situations.

Furthermore, students use movement to formulate, express, and recognize ideas, perceptions, and feelings both as individuals and as part of a group. Throughout this process, the students are encouraged to explore, reflect on, and express their own ideas through the medium of physical theatre.

The IGA is very pleased to have contributed towards this initiative!
