Grants

The IGA now uses an online grant application system for organizations interested in applying for a grant. Community based organizations and schools must apply by November 1, 2024 while Labrador-Grenfell Zone has until December 1, 2024 to apply.

International Grenfell Association (IGA) grants are funded through monies raised since the late 1800s by supporters in Canada, the USA, Great Britain, and Ireland.

At its 185th IGA Board of Directors meeting, held in April,  2024, the International Grenfell Association approved 64 new grants to community-based organizations, schools, and Labrador Grenfell Health – - – totaling $1,986,705, in support of residents of the Northern Peninsula and coastal Labrador.

Since 1997 the IGA has awarded 1,319 grants to various community organizations throughout the Northern Newfoundland and coastal Labrador areas.
