The International Grenfell Association (IGA) is a non-profit organization that was incorporated in 1914┬áby British medical missionary Sir Wilfred T. Grenfell. The organization’s role was to provide health care, education, religious services, and rehabilitation and other social services to the fisherman and coastal communities of northern Newfoundland and coastal Labrador. Today, IGA offers funding for community projects and initiatives that serve to enhance the general well being of the residents of these regions.
