At its recent 183rd International Grenfell Association Board of Directors meeting, the IGA made a significant investment in its service area of the Northern Peninsula and Coastal Labrador by allocating a total of 71 grants for this year, worth a combined $1,503,190 (with another $437,400 committed into 2024 and 2025).
The IGA has five core areas of support in its annual Grant Program – health, education, communities, arts/culture and research.
The 71 grants awarded for 2023 cut across all of these areas, and benefits health care delivery in the Labrador Grenfell Zone of NL Health Services, schools, fire departments, town councils, development associations, recreation groups and a variety of other organizations.
In the past 25 years, the IGA has granted more than $45 million in funding with the provision of 1689 grants to benefit the aforementioned region!
