This past year, the IGA awarded the St. Anthony Brownies a grant to help in the travel expenses to Corner Brook for a week-long summer camp. The Summer Camp ended up being a tremendious success! Their goal was to create a camp where the girls could experience new things outside of what is usually available to them, and it was certainly accomplished. The girls did everything from swimming, playing lazer tag, shopping, checking out Clay and Cupcakes, and even squeezed in a Bonne fire in the rain.

For some of the girls, this was the first time they had been away from home for an extended period of time without their parents. Through this the girls learned independence and confidence that will help them develop and grow moving forward.

IGA is happy to have funded this rewarding trip for the Brownies!
