The first in his immediate family to pursue post-secondary education, Bursary recipient Adam Flynn of Forteau made the big move to St. John’s to attend College of the North Atlantic. Adam is enrolled in CNA’s electrical engineering technology program, and says he likes working with both hands off and hands on projects.
Adam has been involved with many sports and extracurricular activities throughout the years, but says his passion was hockey. He has played on numerous teams in his community for years, and hopes to instill the same passion for sports he has into younger generations in the future. Adam was also a member in the Junior Canadian Rangers, ranking as a Master Corporal.
With his parents and younger sibling back home in Forteau, Adam says the IGA Bursary will help him become more independent while living in St. John’s.
