Garreth is a MUN (St. John’s Campus) student from Charlottetown, Labrador, completing the Bachelor of Kinesiology program. Having always loved being outdoors and playing sports, Garreth says staying active is a major part of his life. He believes that being active is one of the best medicines, but also the least prescribed.
Garreth used to be an avid volunteer at almost every event that happened in his community. This includes volunteering with and participating in Relay for Life for three years. Although he did not volunteer as much after leaving high school, he recently started volunteering with Easter Seals at their sledge hockey program.
After completing kinesiology, Garreth wants to complete a physiotherapy program. His ultimate goal is to help others as much as possible; in the future, he wants to deliver this help back to the coast of Labrador, as he considers the residents his family.
